Plastic injection: develop and produce parts successfully!
Plastic injection is a forming process that consists in injecting a molten polymer into a mold cavity under pressure. This process allows the mass production of plastic parts with a complex design, at very low costs and in a fully automated manner. This manufacturing technique, which is very present in the Swiss industrial environment, is used in a multitude of industrial sectors.
During this course, the various aspects necessary to understand the plastic injection process will be reviewed: composition and behavior of polymers, operation of an injection machine, stages of an injection cycle, rules for the design of injected plastic parts, and the design of injection molds.
In addition, this course is carried out in the premises of the plastics laboratory of the iRAP Institute in Fribourg, where concrete examples and practical demonstrations are planned (presentation of examples of plastic injection Ra&D projects, injected plastic parts, injected plastic parts, injection molds, injection machines, etc.).
ATTENTION: Limited number of seats.
